Day 2

Image
Stitched most of the day yesterday. Was hoping "Family Rules" could be a finish this year, but after getting it out to work on I'm thinking it won't happen. More left than what I thought! We need to go to town today as the cupboards are getting a little bare!  Also wish my side would quit bothering me. Ever since that diverticulitis (so they say it was) nothing has been the same, and that was in 2019 I think.    Enough for today Take care and be safe!

Need to do an update!  I did get the Camel almost finished.  He just needs some beads and tassels.  Then I did a sheep.  He didn't take very long. Not a lot of color changes. Have started the donkey for the next one.  Was given these kits for a different nativity set and want to try to do 2 sets of Mary,  Joseph, and baby Jesus for the two girls for Christmas. If I can do one figure a month I could have them done in time.  I started Joseph the 16th and he is coming along really well.  I do not like working on a kit.  I seem to spend a lot of time figuring out the colors and where they go and do not like 1/4 stitches on 14 count.  Only 1 set will be done on the kit fabric.  Will get some 28 count for the second set. Won't get to work on Joseph much this week as Kelly and Lynn will be spending the week with us and don't want to explain to Lynn why I'm working on 2 Nativity sets so will work on the donkey for my set.  The bo...

Need to learn to count

Image
Wasn't in a good mood last evening after getting closer to the right hand edge and finding out I had miss counted and had not left enough room!  Barely have enough for the seam,  so the poor Camel just might have a few stitches hiding in a seam as I was not starting over.  Don't know what I do wrong.  I did this same thing on Joseph but not quit this bad.  After I discovered my screw up I went to the left side and worked on his head. This is what I get for trying to not waste material I guess!     This is another finish I fully finished a week or so ago for our Great Granddaughters Christmas this year.  Was a fun stitch!       Take care & be safe

Nativity set

This will be an up to date post because I don't want to go back to when I first started these in late February or early March after I finished the birth sampler for Clara Lynn.     I may add in future posts pictures of other projects I have finished (or started 😔) or not finished!    This is the birth sampler,  and was started in 2020 as soon as we found out she was a girl.  I worked on it quit a bit while at elk camp.  No more big projects while there because you can't keep them from getting dirty no matter how hard you try!     Yesterday I got the fabric ready for the Camel that goes with the Nativity set.  Was able to start on him later that evening. Wish I had the leaflets for these as the colors on the pdf's is really hard for me to decifer even with my mani-clips.  I did put the pattern on my kindle and can enlarge it, which does help some. Here is my set so far and my Camel wh...
